The Living Room

After taking down the Christmas tree, we were too lazy to rearrange furniture to account for the large bare opening in the middle of our window. So I hauled in blankets and pillows and created a nice little nook for reading, snacking, or just lounging around.  We've had such a hard time getting Ruben to sit still to eat, but if he's sitting in the Cuddling Spot he has no problem sitting still for the length of a small snack. June and Karl are lying there right now reading bedtime stories while I write this blog.

One of our Christmas presents from a congregation member was this beautiful Swarovsky (sp?) crystal light catcher. From 10 in the morning until nearly dinner time we have rainbows splashed around our living room. We even cleaned off some awards Karl and I received in high school and college (little glass statues)  and put them in the bay window so that more rainbows would appear. Ruben spent about five minutes trying to catch a particularly strong rainbow that was bobbing on the wall near his high chair.

Our living room is the best!
